The Story

Abaci Organic was founded to address a quiet gap in the saturated beauty market: the absence of a truly exceptional organic lip treatment. Not a fleeting balm or cosmetic afterthought, but an everything balm held to the same standard as luxury skincare—one that delivers real, lasting impact on lip health.

From the beginning, the intention was clear—to curate the highest-quality organic ingredients into a formula that genuinely performs and to create a balm that looks beautifully at-home alongside the most exquisite top-shelf creams and serums.

My interest in lip health is not abstract. Periods of severe dryness early in adulthood revealed just how overlooked lips are within skincare routines and how often most balms are designed for momentary relief rather than true restoration.

Professionally, I began my career in the beauty industry at the early rise of modern clean beauty, witnessing both the promise and the pitfalls of the category. Working with brands across the spectrum—from deeply transparent formulators to those driven more by trends than integrity—clarified not only what I valued, but what was missing.

Abaci Organic was born from that realization.

The formulation process began with function, not marketing. Multi-molecular hyaluronic acid was non-negotiable—chosen for its ability to hydrate at multiple layers of the skin—and became the technical cornerstone of the balm. Integrating a liquid active of this caliber into a solid formula required extensive refinement to ensure stability, longevity and performance.

Each ingredient that followed was selected with the same rigor. Tsubaki oil, often referred to as “nature’s Botox,” for elasticity and softness. Moroccan prickly pear oil, revered as the elixir of youth for its regenerative properties and concentration of antioxidants. The sensory experience was equally considered—evocative and transportive, without reliance on phototoxic essential oils or synthetic fragrance.

The final texture had to be creamy yet non-greasy. Long-lasting, so it could be applied intentionally rather than habitually. Designed as a morning and evening ritual—part of getting ready and winding down—rather than something to be reapplied endlessly throughout the day.

After more than two years of refinement, Abaci Organic’s inaugural formulation emerged: a lip treatment created to endure. A product I am proud to stand behind—not as a promise, but as a practice.
